Andrew Atroshenko was born in 1965 in the city of Pokrovsk, Russia. At age five he started painting and drawing and was encouraged by his father to pursue his dream of being an artist. He was introduced to America in 1999 and credits the year he spent here with giving him "direction".
Married to an artist, Maria, he says she and his daughter Alexandra are his inspiration.
